Hey there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Sunshine aka Ashley and I’m so excited you’re here.
Let me tell you a little about myself and my journey so far—because life, as we all know, is anything but linear.
I’m a proud mom of three amazing kids. My oldest daughter is out there living on her own, finding her way and making me proud every step of the way. My son is about to take one of the biggest steps of his life—he’s heading into the Marines. Watching him prepare has filled me with pride and emotion I can barely put into words. And my youngest? He’s still got three years of high school left. He’s passionate about fitness, loves going to the gym, and has taken a strong interest in boxing. Watching him grow into himself is one of my greatest joys.
Family is everything to me. I’m also a wife, and together my husband and I are holding it down, through all the ups and downs.
Over the past three months, I’ve been without a traditional job. At first, that felt heavy. But then I saw it as an opportunity—a gift, even. I used this time to finally invest in myself. I’ve been working quietly behind the scenes to build something of my own: my digital marketing business. It’s been a mix of learning, designing, writing, planning, and sometimes doubting—but I’ve kept pushing through.
Now, I’m proud to say it’s ready. I’m ready.
But that’s not all. There’s another dream I’ve carried in my heart for a long time: becoming a nurse. Life has thrown distractions my way, and I’ve had moments where I lost focus. But now? I’m making the commitment. I’m starting my journey by becoming a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), and I plan to keep going from there. Helping others has always been part of who I am, and now I’m finally taking the steps to turn that passion into a profession.
This blog will be where I share my journey—through motherhood, marriage, business, school, and life. Some days are tough, some are beautiful, and all are real. I hope my story inspires someone else to keep going, to try again, or to believe in themselves even when the world feels heavy.
