There’s something powerful that happens when you dedicate intentional time to reading the Bible—your heart softens, your mindset shifts, and your faith begins to anchor deeper than ever before. That’s what I’ve experienced so far on my Bible reading journey, and today I want to share not only where I’ve been but where I’m headed next.
Whether you’ve just been thinking about picking up the Bible again or are already in the Word daily, I believe it’s never too late to start a plan that fits your life and draws you closer to God’s presence.
What I’ve Read So Far
Over the past few months, I’ve worked through several Bible reading plans—each one leaving a unique imprint on my heart:
Proverbs (31-Day Plan) – This plan gave me daily wisdom and spiritual direction. It reminded me how to walk with grace, make better decisions, and keep my tongue in check!
The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) – These books brought me face-to-face with the heart of Jesus. His compassion, miracles, and teachings became more personal, and I began to see my life through the lens of grace and truth.
Psalms of Peace – I turned to Psalms when I needed comfort during storms. It helped me feel seen, heard, and held.
Each plan brought a different kind of breakthrough. That’s the beauty of the Word—it meets you exactly where you are.
The Bible Plan I’m Starting Next
Next, I’m diving into a “Bible in 90 Days” plan—yes, the whole Bible! It’s a commitment, but one I’m excited about. This plan will help me read Scripture as one big story, revealing how God’s promises and presence weave throughout history and into our daily lives.
I’m not just reading to check a box—I’m reading to understand God’s character, deepen my relationship with Him, and hear what He has to say about the direction of my life.
Why You Should Start Your Own Bible Reading Plan
God speaks through His Word. It’s alive. It’s healing. It’s empowering. No matter what season of life you’re in—overwhelmed, hopeful, healing, rebuilding—there’s a Bible reading plan that can pour into your soul.
Here’s how you can make Bible reading a habit:
Pick a Plan That Fits Your Life: Don’t overwhelm yourself—start with 5-10 minutes a day.
Use an App or Printable: I use apps like YouVersion and also create my own faith planners to stay consistent.
Journal What You Learn: Write down verses that speak to you and how you’ll apply them.
Invite Others In: Bible reading isn’t just personal—it can be powerful when done in community.
